Preparing Before Your Trek

30 Days Before

Start light cardio training (brisk walking, jogging, stair climbing) 3–4 times a week to build stamina.

7 Days Before

Recheck your personal gear (boots, jacket, headlamp) and make sure your boots are already broken in to avoid blisters.

1 Day Before

Get enough rest, avoid staying up late, and arrive in Senaru for the briefing session with your guide.

Understanding Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)

Above 3,000m, some climbers may experience AMS symptoms such as mild headache, nausea, or dizziness due to lower oxygen levels. Our guides are trained to recognize these symptoms and will adjust the walking pace to help your body adapt gradually.

Tips to reduce risk: stay hydrated by drinking water regularly, keep a steady walking pace (don't rush), and let your guide know immediately if you feel unwell.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this package suitable for beginner hikers?

Yes, as long as you're in good physical condition and have built up your stamina in the weeks beforehand. Our small-group concept (max 4 people) lets the guide give personal attention to less experienced participants.

What happens if the weather is bad during the trek?

Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are extreme or the trail is closed by the national park authority (TNGR), the guide will adjust the itinerary — including possibly delaying the summit attack — and coordinate directly with the on-the-ground team.

Is there phone signal during the trek?

Signal is very limited and unstable across most of the trail, especially around Plawangan and Segara Anak Lake. It's best to let your family know you may be unreachable for 2–3 days.

What's the maximum group size?

Maximum 4 participants per group (small-group concept), keeping the trekking experience personal, safe, and flexible to everyone's pace.

How do I book this package?
